Petrol-diesel prices break records; find out your city rates – JK Student Update

New Delhi: State-owned oil companies today hiked petrol and diesel prices again on June 16. Petrol is currently selling across Rs 107 a litre in some cities. Today, petrol prices have gone up by 25 paise per litre and diesel by 13 paise. Today, the price of one litre of petrol in Delhi is Rs 96.66 and that of diesel is Rs 87.41.

Petrol crosses Rs 105 in these cities:-

  • Petrol at Sriganganagar in Rajasthan at Rs 107.79 and diesel at Rs 100.51 per litre
  • Petrol at Anupnagar in Madhya Pradesh at Rs 107.43 and diesel at Rs 98.43 per litre
  • Rewa petrol at Rs 107.07 and diesel at Rs 98.10 per litre
  • Petrol at Rs 104.85 and diesel at Rs 96.05 per litre in Bhopal
  • Parbhani petrol at Rs 105.16 and diesel at Rs 95.63 per litre

Price of Petrol Diesel in Metropolitan Cities:-

  • Petrol at Rs 96.66 and diesel at Rs 87.41 per litre in Delhi
  • Petrol at Rs 102.85 and Diesel Rs 94.84 in Mumbai
  • Petrol at Rs 96.58 and diesel at Rs 90.25 in Kolkata
  • Petrol prices in Chennai at Rs 97.91 and diesel at Rs 92.04

Prices change at 6 p.m. daily:-

The prices of petrol and diesel change daily at 6 a.m. The new rates come into effect from 6 a.m. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other items to the prices of petrol diesel, the price almost doubles.

The prices of petrol and diesel change daily on the basis of what are the prices of crude in the international market with foreign exchange rates.
