Handwara, Jun 26 : Wildlife department officials have on Saturday afternoon captured a black bear here in Tarathpora Ramhall area.

Reports reaching said that the bear was in the taratpora market atop a walnut tree, when a Wildlife Department team after constant messages by the locals throughout the day finally arrived to tranquilize and capture the beast.

A Wildlife Department official t that a black bear was caught by a team in the area after hectic efforts. “

The bear is being transported to Dachigam, the official added.

This was the fourth such catch in Kupwara district this year.
