Circular on measures for functioning of University in view of surge in Covid Positive cases.
Pursuant to the Governmcnt of, jammu & Kashmir order No 21-JK(I)MILRR) ol 2021 dated 18’04’2021 eLnd subsequent order issuerl by office of I)can, Acadcmic Aflfairs it is notificd for the informatior:r of all the concerned.
Pursuant to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir Order No 21-JK(DMRRR) of 2021 dated 18.04.2021 and subsequent order issued by Office of Dean, Academic Affairs it is notified for the information of all the concerned that:
The class work in the University shall be held via online mode till 15th of May, 2021, except for the courses/programmes that require physical presence of students on account of laboratory/research/thesis work and internship etc.
All offices of the University shall continue to remain functional for administrative purposes with 50% of the staff strength on rotation basis. Consequently Deans/ Heads/Directors/ Coordinators/ Officers/ Incharges of all Schools/Departments/Campuses/Institutes/ Centers/ Units/Sections of the Registry shall attend their duties and ensure proper functioning in their respective administrative units after working out the rationalization/utilization rosters of the staff. The rationalization/utilization rosters shall, however, be subject to feasibility and available staff strength at a particular administrative unit/office.
Employees having symptoms of Coronavirus infection shall not visit the offices and should stay at home after due permission of respective Controlling Officers. Unnecessary inter building/block/unit visits should be avoided as much as possible and alternate modes of communication like email, telephone, fax etc should be used. Assemblies and congregations should be avoided and social distance must be maintained.
All such employees who may be off duties as per the notified rationalization/utilization rosters issued by respective Controlling Officers from time to time are advised to remain available via their mobile phones and report to their official duties in person as and when called for the same. No employee shall leave the station without proper authorization of the competent authority.
The University Hostels shall remain open for Research Scholars only till further orders. All other boarders shall vacate their respective hostels.
Auditoriums, cafeterias, canteens etc shall also remain closed till further orders as an interim safety measure.
Essential services staff of University Health Centre, Sanitation, Landscape Wing. Construction Division, Proctorial Wing etc shall continue to perform their duties with full strength.
All the above decisions shall be reviewed at appropriate time for taking further necessary action/s accordingly. However, all necessary measures as per various SOP’s notified by the Government shall be implemented to ensure proper safety of staff and concerned shall ensure Covid appropriate behavior/facilities in their respective Units.
Help Desks at Examination Wing, Directorate of Students Welfare and Registration Section Level
shall be established for ad
dressing/redressal of student queries/grievances. The details of same shall be notified separately by the concerned.
